Career mode in FIFA 16 has had new improvements to the scouting system

Over the past five years in particular, Ive expressed my disappointment nhl coins with the lack of development EA has put into its flagship football simulator. FIFA had become stagnant, predictable and rage inducing due to the lack of attention to detail and excessive time dedicated towards FIFA Ultimate Team. However, after spending a solid 24 hours with FIFA 16, I can say with a big smile on my face that this is the best FIFA game EA has produced in a very long time. So whats different about this game and why do I like it so much? The first thing thats made a huge difference in FIFA 16 is the new mechanics introduced by EA. They have revitalised the gameplay entirely. So lets go through them one by one.

The first thing a player will notice right after kick-off (besides the sweet graphics, of course) is how slower the pace of the game is compared to last years game. Where last years game sometimes felt like a non-stop shooting gallery with blazing ping-pong action across the hut coins sale entire field, this years game more closely follows the pace of a typical real-life match. Another warning for sprint fiends: its time to master how to dribble, juke, fake, and time tackles properly if you want to win. Its an odd bit of advice considering theyre playing football with their feet, after all, but one that speaks to where the emphasis of the game has shifted as well as where the game has been tweaked and refined.

Another change I noticed is that the defense has been tightened up a bit. It's something that's especially noticeable in higher difficulties, though it still isn't quite as suffocating as PES 2016. For the most part, I had an easier time weaving through the defense with the sprint button pressed and moving around in this game than I did with its rival. Depending on your preferences, that's either good or bad, but it's one point of distinction from its competitor. Passing also was made a bit more challenging so you can't just spam the pass button. It's improved over last year though still not quite as smooth as PES 2016. I recommend trying out different passing settings to find the one that works best for you.

If you need help getting to grips with any of the new gameplay mechanics, the optional Fifa Trainer is a worthwhile addition. This puts an overlay on the screen near the player youre currently controlling, suggesting different button pushes for the situation youre in. It starts off basic and can become more advanced when youre ambitious enough to take on some of the more complex moves that require an octopus-like level of dexterity. Fifas authenticity comes through in the way it looks and sounds too. I dont think the series has ever been better visually, with the quality of graphics and attention to detail improving year on year. Crowd sounds are better than ever, and really differ from ground to ground. The broadcast-style presentation of matches is up to its usual standard - but this leads to the one production letdown of Martin Tyler and Alan Smiths commentary being as tedious as always.
